If you still are interested in bringing donations, please ONLY bring: Yoga Mats, Sleeping Pads and Sleeping Bags, Anti-fungal cream, Children’s Fever Reducers and other medicine, Pre-Paid Gift Cards of any amount, New underwear & socks. If you have other items to donate, for now we recommend taking them to Sabka Sahara on Devon, Brown Elephant on Clark or any other location that will typically receive them, Thank you!
Our wonderful neighbors are providing emergency response for newly arrived migrants at the same time that our ward offices are working to secure more resources from city, state and federal governments.
If you can provide any of the following new or gently used items please drop them off to the 40th Ward Office at 5620 N Western Ave Monday – Friday 10am to 3pm:
- Blankets
- Rolling Suitcases
- Menstrual pads
- Diapers
- Juice boxes
- Yoga Mats, Sleeping Pads and Sleeping Bags
- Children’s Fever Reducers and other medicine
- Compostable Plates and Utensils
- Pre-Paid Gift Cards of any amount
The neighbors doing this rapid response work are also looking for support as they have been doing this since the first group of arrivals.
