This morning our office was made aware of recent graffiti in the Bowmanville neighborhood near the intersection of Foster and Damen. Alderman Vasquez has been in communication with CPD 20th District leadership to schedule a community meeting to discuss concerns regarding gang activity in the area. Details for that meeting will be shared as soon as they are available.
The 40th Ward Superintendent has also been notified about the graffiti and will work with Streets and Sanitation to remove it. If you see graffiti in your neighborhood, please call 311 or visit 311.chicago.gov to report and request its removal.
The 40th Ward office appreciates the efforts of our engaged community members and neighborhood groups for reaching out to report these incidents and we are committed to addressing these issues.
