Are you passionate about improving the quality of life in the 40th Ward? Concerned about  the transphobic vandalism occuring in our community? Are you an ally for at-risk youth or an advocate for seniors aging in place? Do you want greater gender parity or to protect the rights of LGBTQ folx? Then the 40th Ward’s VOICE* working groups (*Visualizing Organized Inter-Community Engagement) is looking for your experience and enthusiasm!

Over the past few months, we have been building momentum at the 40th Ward office and around the community, while exploring issues impacting seniors, women, the LGBTQ community, and youth folx under 21 years old. We are in the early planning phase for an upcoming community forum to work together on solutions, and we are looking to engage with as many neighbors as possible. The VOICE is yours, come join us!

Upcoming VOICE Meetings:

-Monday, Nov 18, 6:00 pm: Women & LGBTQ Equity Working Group – 5620 N. Western Ave (note: this meeting will be split up into two groups)
