Free

Join us for our Andersonville Science Café where we bring together folks that are interested in all topics science! We welcome Erion Malasi I’m a former House Staffer who served the longest serving Legislative leader in US history, and was part of the transition for the new speaker of the House. I was part of the most recent pension reform packages and authored a report on downstate pension finances. Now I’m working with the UChicago Law School to create pathways for historically undeserved communities by highlighting & addressing decades-long discrepancies in professional and entrepreneurial laws
Topic | Pensions in Illinois just passed a historic marker, half way through a 50 year payment plan that’s failing. I’ll discuss it’s history and how every problem in IL can be tied back to the passage of one bill in 1996, as well as what we can do to begin fixing it.
We will be upstairs room at Hopleaf for incredible topics and discussions about Science. Please show support for our host by purchasing food and beverages from the bar and come on up!

Doors for the event open at 5:00PM. All folks must show a valid State issued id at the door to participate in the event. Masks will be worn when not eating or drinking.
