Our office has received a request for an amendment to Planned Development 1009, First Evangelical Free Church.
PD 1009 was established in 2006 to zone a campus for the Church and its associated existing Sanctuary Building, recently constructed Family Life Center, and a future Community Center which would include office space, conference rooms, a gymnasium, and limited underground parking.
The proposed amendment would remove the southernmost address in the Planned Development, 5237 N Ashland, from the Planned Development, as a prerequisite to negotiated sale. Zoning would revert to the pre-existing B2-5. The current proposed sale would retain the existing four-story building as a four-unit residential rental property; no teardown or new construction is planned as part of First Evangelical’s proposal.
