The Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) in partnership with the 40th and 48th wards is conducting a plaza improvement project on Catalpa Avenue from Clark Street to Ashland Avenue.
The project aims to create a pedestrian-only plaza by closing Catalpa between Clark and Ashland to through traffic and providing amenities that will create a neighborhood destination that will foster community and economic growth while providing opportunities for community gatherings and events.
Please join CDOT at this open house style community meeting on April 18th from 6p-7:30p at St Gregory Catholic Church to learn more about Catalpa Plaza and to provide input. At the meeting there will be exhibits displaying plaza design concepts that the community is invited to provide feedback on. There will also be opportunity for questions and answers during the entirety of the open house.
