Neighborhood Network Slack Channel
We encourage you to join the 40th Ward Neighbor Network Slack group. The 40th Ward office uses slack to post messages about ward happenings and volunteer opportunities. NOTE: Due to several upcoming events, our Ward Night schedule will be limited in February. Please see below for our schedule from now through the end of February.
On the 1st, 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month, Ald. Vasquez is available first-come, first serve in 15 minute appointments at the Ward Office from 5-6:30pm. The 3rd Wednesday of the month is virtual.
For January, here is our Ward Night schedule:
- Wednesday, February 21st, 5:00-6:30pm – In-person
- Wednesday, February 28th, 5:00-6:30pm – Join us for a Town Hall at American Blues Theatre!

Apartment, Yard and Garage Sale and Permits
A permit is required for all garage, yard and apartment sales conducted on residential property within the City of Chicago. Make sure you are in compliance with guidelines. Our office can assist you with permitting needs.
