A business located at 5109 N. Lincoln is applying for a lift of the liquor moratorium on the east side of Lincoln Ave, from Winnemac to Foster, so that the tavern located at this property––which was already in operation before the moratorium was put into place––can be sold to new owners.
Here’s what the potential owners have to say about the proposal:
“We plan to reopen a historic tavern that has been a Lincoln Square institution for over 60 years. We plan to keep the charm of the original bar, while updating the facilities and menu to provide the neighborhood with a destination-worthy cocktail experience. In keeping with the plan to convert this area into an arts district, we will promote the arts through weekly events and by providing an intimate venue for musicians to perform.”
If you’d like to express your support or opposition on the moratorium lift, please submit your feedback through this form.
The feedback form will be open for two weeks, until Friday, February 9th. Our office will issue a decision within the following week.
We look forward to hearing your feedback!
