Thank you to everyone who showed up at the American Blues Theater this week for our first Town Hall of the year! It was so great to see so many neighbors out here engaging with their community.
Couldn’t make it? We’ve got you covered. Check out the presentation below, which covers such topics as:
- Neighbor Services: how we did on solving your requests in 2023, an update on tree trimming, and new Residential Permit Parking zones coming to a street near you;
- Public Safety: we gave an update on the armed robberies last week, and what the CPD and our office is doing to address crime in the 40th Ward;
- Neighborhood Development and Infrastructure: we introduced some of the major infrastructure work coming up this year—including park improvements, seven major street resurfacing projects, and two streetscapes—and how we make decisions on how to spend our $1.5M Menu funds for ward infrastructure improvements each year.
- Community Engagement: we also talked about some of the many events we hold for the community throughout the year, as well as ways you can get more involved!
- City Council: lastly, we went over some of what we’re working on from a policy and legislative front, as well as an update from the Committee on Immigrant and Refugee Rights.
