On December 11th at 7pm, we’re hosting a virtual community zoning meeting on a proposed zoning change for 5616 N Washtenaw! Register via Zoom at bit.ly/5616washtenaw.
The proposal is for a change from B3-2 to B2-3 Type 1 Zoning, to legalize longstanding, existing nonconformities, including the current ground floor residential dwelling units, MLA, parking, and setbacks for the existing 3-story multi-unit building with 20 units and 9 parking spaces. The existing conditions have been in place at the property for at least 3 decades, and no new improvements or new dwelling units are proposed. Proposed renovation work will include masonry repairs, roof replacement, window replacement, updates to plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and cosmetic improvements. No structural work is proposed.
For information on the proposal, please visit our Proposed Zoning Changes page. To learn more about the community zoning process and how it works, please see the Community Driven Zoning page.
If you would like to hear more about the development and give feedback, please register for the Zoom meeting. Hope to see you there!
