The intersection of Glenlake and Maplewood

The Department of Water Management (DWM) will begin work on a sewer replacement project on Glenlake from Fairfield to Artesian, and a portion of Maplewood just north of Glenlake.  Construction is anticipated to last for 6 months. We will post weekly construction updates on our website and in our newsletter once construction begins!

Sewer Replacement

This project will include the installation of 2,301 feet of new sewer main on W. Glenlake Ave from N Fairfield Ave to N Artesian Ave, and N Maplewood Ave from W Glenlake to just north of the intersection.

Upon completion of the sewer main installation, restoration will follow, including street resurfacing along with the repair of any damaged sidewalks, curbs, and parkways, and the hydroseeding of repaired parkways.

Project Impacts

  • Parking: No parking signs will be posted as needed during work hours (generally 7am-4pm), but parking will continue to be allowed outside of those hours. Cars must be moved by 7am.
  • Water Service Interruptions: DWM will give neighbors 24 hours notice if they need to temporarily interrupt water service.
  • Traffic Impacts: the street may be fully or partially closed at certain times, but access to homes and businesses will be maintained. Outside of working hours, a travel line will be left open for local traffic.
