Notice of Intent: Zoning Change at 2310 W Ainslie

brick rectory building as seen from the street at 2310 W Ainslie

After consideration of resident feedback, the Ward office supports the proposed zoning change from RM-4.5 and RM-5 (split lot) to a unified RM-4.5 lot at 2310 W Ainslie Ave.

Process

All proposed zoning changes in the 40th Ward undergo a community feedback process. Neighbors are invited to comment on the proposal at public meetings and online. All comments and other feedback are considered and discussed by Ald. Vasquez and the 40th Ward office prior to any decision being made regarding zoning. You can find a detailed timeline/FAQ on how our community-driven process works on our Community Zoning page.

Feedback

The feedback for this change was overwhelmingly positive. Neighbors cited the need for more residential units in an area with a high demand for housing, as well as their enthusiasm for the adaptive use of the existing rectory building. We are deeply grateful to all our neighbors who took the time to provide feedback!
