At long last, the street resurfacing project on Ashland Avenue from School to Clark, and Clark from Ashland to Ridge, will begin this month! Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin on August 18th, pending clearance from and coordination with existing utilities, and weather permitting.
The work will include ADA sidewalk improvements, curb and gutter removal and replacement as needed, and milling and repaving the entire stretch of asphalt, in addition to restriping it once repaving is completed. Our office was also instrumental in conducting a traffic study and securing funding for additional safety measures, including pedestrian islands and bumpouts at key intersections, a new traffic signal at Ashland and Berwyn, bus boarding islands, and more!

During construction, temporary “No Parking” signs will be periodically installed as required to restrict parking during working hours (typically 7am-4:30pm). All work on this corridor is scheduled to be completed by late November.
