CIRR Immigration Enforcement Violation Report Form

flyer, details in post

In response to community concerns, the City of Chicago Committee on Immigrant and Refugee Rights (CIRR), chaired by Ald. Andre Vasquez, has created a reporting mechanism where residents can report violations related to immigration enforcement perpetrated by Chicago law by agents.

While a handful of government agencies in Illinois have established mechanisms for tracking these violations, community members have reported difficulty in knowing which potential violations should be submitted to which official government agencies, and how. In response, CIRR created a one-stop shop to make submitting evidence easier for those who aren’t familiar with the matrix of oversight entities across all levels of government.

How to Report

Residents can report suspected activity in violation of City of Chicago law to bit.ly/reportimmviolationschi.

The form aims to collect information on potential violations within Chicago city limits of Chicago Municipal Code and/or Mayoral Executive Orders relating to immigration laws. That information will then be passed on to the appropriate oversight body––such as the Mayor’s Office, Corporation Counsel, Civilian Office of Police Accountability, Office of the Inspector General, Illinois Attorney General’s Office, or the Illinois Accountability Commission––so they can take appropriate action, whether investigatory, disciplinary or otherwise.

Reports Received

Reports are published regularly by CIRR, and updated with agency responses as we receive them.

Below, please find a list of reports the Committee has received from the public as of January 26, 2026. You can also view them via spreadsheet.
