Zoning Proposal: 5636-40 N. Ashland Avenue

The 40th Ward office has received a request from Mackinaw Development LLC to rezone 5636–40 N. Ashland Avenue from RS-3 to B2-3 zoning. This zoning change would allow the construction of a new 5-floor residential building with brick facades and inset balconies. The building will contain 27 units, including ground floor units. There will be three units on the ground floor and six units per floor on the upper floors. All the units have two-bedrooms and two baths. Five affordable units will be provided on-site, and eight exterior parking spaces and four interior parking spaces will be provided from the rear alley.
