We want your feedback as we consider a new request for proposal (RFP) for the redevelopment of the former police station at 1940 W Foster Avenue!
The Chicago Department of Planning and Development (DPD) is planning to issue a new request for proposal (RFP) for the redevelopment of this vacant, city-owned space. To facilitate the RFP process, DPD is requesting a zoning change from B1-2 to B2-3.
On Monday, May 11th at 6pm, our office and DPD will host a virtual meeting to discuss the zoning change, and hear your feedback and ideas for how this space can best serve the community. Register at bit.ly/1940foster!
Zoning change requests may be submitted to the City at any time by property owners and/or developers. The 40th Ward is committed to a transparent zoning process that includes a public meeting and feedback period. Holding of a public meeting does not imply support or opposition from the Ward. Alderperson Vasquez does not issue letters of support or opposition until the public process is complete. To learn more about our zoning process, visit the Community-Driven Zoning page.
