We want your feedback as we consider a new proposal to rezone 5036-44 N. Ashland from RS-3 to B2-3 to allow for a new 5-story residential building.

The building would include 35 dwelling units including 7 affordable units, 14 parking spaces, and 35 bicycle parking spaces. Join us for a virtual community meeting on Wednesday October 14th at 6:30pm to discuss the request! Register here.

Zoning change requests may be submitted to the City at any time by property owners and/or developers. The 40th Ward is committed to a transparent zoning process that includes a public meeting and feedback period. Holding of a public meeting does not imply support or opposition from the Ward. Alderperson Vasquez does not issue letters of support or opposition until the public process is complete. To learn more about our zoning process, visit the Community-Driven Zoning page.
