Before joining the team, Mars managed Alderperson Vasquez’s 2023 re-election campaign. Now, Mars serves as the 40th Ward Scheduling Manager and Arts and Culture Liaison, responsible for fostering a dynamic community culture by connecting artists with public art opportunities and uplifting diverse cultural expressions, with a focus on underrepresented and emerging talent. Mars also oversees Ald. Vasquez’s schedule and block party permits. She is fluent in Arabic and dedicates her free time to creating contemporary mixed media artwork. Areas of specialization:
