Nora Fabre was born and raised in the North Center neighborhood and is fluent in French. She pursued her Bachelors in Montreal, at Concordia University, where she became deeply engaged with the vibrant and diverse community on campus, participating in student-led activism and volunteering at the Interfaith center on campus. Upon graduating in 2019, Nora worked in food justice advocacy and public policy research in Montreal. Expanding on her passion for people and nature in 2022, Nora became a cycling trip leader in the PNW, leading trips along the Columbia River Gorge, Crater Lake, and the McKenzie Pass in Oregon. After returning to Chicago in late 2022, Nora was hungry to engage meaningfully with her City. She spearheaded the Chicago Youth Climate Cafe at Warren Park in April 2023, where she first met Alderperson Vasquez and developed an interest in municipal and state government.

Most recently, Nora worked for Senator Ram Villivalam, working in constituent services and leading a petitions for nomination campaign in the Fall of 2023. She is excited to contribute her diverse experiences and passion for community building and volunteer stewardship within the 40th Ward in her role as Neighbor Engagement Coordinator!

In her free time, Nora enjoys year-round lake dips in lake Michigan, reading the weekly Inside Booster, planning hiking trips with friends, grilling with her uncle, and volunteering for the Forest Preserves at Labagh Woods and Friends of the Chicago River.
