The 40th Ward office has received a request to rezone 2434 W Bryn Mawr from B1-2 to B2-5 zoning. This zoning change would allow the construction of a new 6-floor residential building with offering 26 market rate and 7 affordable units. The building would also include a green roof, street-facing public art, permeable pavers, and bird-friendly windows.
This proposal is now open for feedback! You can submit your feedback by filling out this form.
The developer also included a number of questions that they’ve asked for community feedback on during the meeting including:
- Would a landscaped public seating area be valuable?
- Art / murals / cultural elements representing the community? Location suggestions?
- Exclusively residential parking and bicycle parking?
- Parking for retail/live-work space?
- Rooftop deck needed or remove since all units have balcony?
- Building name suggestions?
You can view or share the meeting recording at this link.
Feedback will remain open for two weeks; the deadline to submit your feedback is August 18th, 2025. Once the deadline passes, Ald. Vasquez will review the feedback and make a decision.
We look forward to hearing from you!
