The 40th Ward office has received a request to rezone 5054-58 N. Ashland Avenue from RS-3 to B2-5 zoning. This zoning change would allow the construction of a new 6-floor residential building with 26 market rate and 6 affordable units.
Our office held a virtual Community Zoning Meeting on Tuesday, September 2nd at 5:30pm to hear the proposal. If you weren’t able to make the meeting, you can view or share the meeting recording at this link!
This zoning change request is now open for feedback! You can submit your feedback by filling out this form. Feedback will remain open for two weeks; the deadline to submit your feedback is September 16th, 2025.
