Introducing the 40th Ward Art Scavenger Hunt!

Do you know how many beautiful murals are hidden around our ward? Get ready to find out!

This year, we’re launching a 40th Ward Art Scavenger Hunt to explore and celebrate all of the incredible local art around the ward. Find all 10 public art pieces below for a chance to win a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place prize! Prizes are generously provided by our amazing local businesses, and you definitely do not want to miss out.

1. At the furthest edge north of our ward, this whimsical mural rests on a longtime cafe institution along a main road

2. A vintage hub between storefronts, this narrow entrance hides a creative surprise.

3. One of the newest stops on rails our ward has to offer, abstract color greets travelers as they arrive. This beloved Chicago artist leaves his mark all over the city.

5.Not too far away on the same main street, this mural is painted by the city itself, urging wellness through its message and location.

6. In a passage off this main street, a mural speaks of pride and resilience in a neighborhood known for its long history of LGBTQ+ community and pride.
7. Not all art lives on walls, though this piece fills four of them. A tiny destination with huge artistry. Close to the last mural, but not on a main street.
